Bias Issues Faced by NJ LGBTQ+ Community

The BCLA Women's group hosts a movie night for its existing members and anyone interested in joining or finding out more about the group. The movie is on Sunday, August 9th at 6pm at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ. Join in for this FREE showing of Girls like Girls. This is a Women's only event. Hudson Pride LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health Summit
Saturday, August 8th 9am-4:30pm at HCCC Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street, Jersey City, NJ.
This FREE, community-centered summit will bring together:
Social workers, educators, mental health providers, healthcare professionals, and youth-serving staff
Families, caregivers, and community members who support LGBTQ+ youth
Youth leaders and young adults
Love is Love BCLA Benefit Party!
This benefit party is being hosted by Gail Baskerville-Norris and Jeremy Lentz (of the Puffin Foundation and Teaneck International Film Festival). All benefits go to supporting BCLA's programs and mission. Bring a dish or drinks to share, and there will music by DJ Carey, food, raffles, and more! Community Block Party and LGBTQ+ Sports Expo
This free community event is being hosted by Saint John's Lutheran Church of Jersey City and Garden State Rainbow Sports. This is a community block party and LGBTQ+ sports expo on Saturday, September 19th 11am-5pm at Saint John's at 155 North Street, Jersey City, NJ. See the flyer for details.

New Online LGBTQ+ Literary Magazine Not Quite Right
This new online literary magazine will publish poetry, essays, and short fiction. They're queer-run (but not queer-exclusive) and looking to hear from new and interesting voices. They are currently accepting submissions and the first issue is scheduled to go live during Pride Month this June.
